a thing post - fall edition

These are the recent lulu pants I reeeeally want!

Chucho donated blood this past weekend - if you want more info you can find lots here.

People blood donors are needed these days as well! Edwin, my dad, Eliza & Justin all donated recently. I attempted but my iron was too low. Bummer. Next time!

Do you have an iPhone? You need to get a bitmoji. Best thing ever.

...and this app. Also best thing ever. (okay, if you only have to pick one, I pick this one!!)

One of my good friends got engaged recently and I am a bridesmaid!! You KNOW I love a good wedding ;) The wedding is next September at Bridges in Granville Island. Should be beautiful!

My mom & I hope to bring Chucho & Odie to this event. Super excited!

Speaking of holiday events, the Make It Vancouver event is around the corner. A must-attend for local makes!

I tried a new restaurant recently - Fortitude in Fort Langley. Try the mushroom bruschetta!

Edwin & I were invited to a wedding in Palm Springs at this gorgeous venue. We need to RSVP soon so looking at flights etc.!

Lastly, how to tell if you have a coffee addiction. I am getting better! :)

the rest of the East

We have been home for a few weeks now so it is about time that I finish blogging about our East Coast trip! Mostly I will just add some photos :)

At the end of my last post, we were in the adorable town of Lunenburg and going kayaking the next day. Kayaking was absolutely beautiful!

This is my favorite photo. This sums up the outskirts of the town of Lunenburg quite nicely!

After Nova Scotia, we headed to PEI! This was once we crossed the big ol' Confederation Bridge - it is 12 kilometers! (It also costs a hefty $40 toll to cross it)

Here I am, in Anne of Green Gables house.

These beautiful red clay cliffs are all around the province of PEI. They were quite stunning! We took the scenic route anywhere we drove and it was always beautiful.

Lunch at the Blue Mussel Cafe - we ate lots of seafood this trip! I had a smoked salmon sandwich with potato salad.

Edwin chattin' up John A. MacDonald downtown PEI.

We ate dinner at a cute pub downtown Charlottetown. At night the streets get quite cute with these white lights! I had delicious seafood gumbo for dinner.

The next day, we went to a really cool Acadian town. It is meant to replicate what it was like to live in Canada back in the day: 1700's and 1800's.

The fall colours were gorgeous here in all the trees!

This was a machine used to make flour back in the day. Super impressive technology for back in the day!

All in all, this trip was pretty fascinating to see the rest of our country. It felt like a whole different place but really we hadn't left Canada! The only province we did not see was Newfoundland and Labrador as it was just not feasible for us to get there in the time that we had unfortunately. One day!! Now we need to figure out where our vacation is to.... :)

Happy Monday!
